    EcoVadis explained: what it is and why your score matters

    EcoVadis is one of the world’s most widely used sustainability rating platforms, assessing over 100,000 companies across 175 countries. If your business supplies to large multinationals — especially in Europe — there is a growing chance your buyer already requires, or will soon require, an EcoVadis rating as a condition of doing business.

    The assessment evaluates your company across four themes: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. Each theme is scored based on the policies you have in place, the actions you have taken, and the measurable results you can demonstrate — all backed by documentary evidence.

    Scores range from 0 to 100. A score above 45 earns Bronze, above 55 earns Silver, above 65 earns Gold, and above 78 earns Platinum.
